Kathleen Collins Joins 1Sharpe Ventures as Vice President
1Sharpe Ventures, a venture capital firm backing founders in real estate and proptech, today announced Kathleen Collins has joined the team as Vice President. She will lead investment initiatives and focus on partnering with exceptional teams building the next generation of leading real estate technology companies at the Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series A stages.
“Kathleen brings a wealth of experience investing and operating at the intersection of real estate and technology,” said Gregor Watson, 1Sharpe Ventures’ managing partner and founder of 1Sharpe Capital. “She offers tremendous wisdom to the team, having invested in companies across stages, from early to pre-IPO. I’m looking forward to seeing how she will help lead our venture strategy and share her perspective with founding teams. We’re excited to have her on board.”
Most recently, Collins was the Chief Operating Officer at Shelter Acquisition Corporation, a proptech-focused SPAC sponsor, where she led investment efforts and firm operations. Prior to Shelter, Kathleen worked at industry-leading real estate technology investment firms and startups, including Metaprop, Fifth Wall, and Zeus Living. Kathleen started her investing career at Industry Ventures, a multi-stage venture capital platform.

Kathleen also represents the fourth generation of her family’s real estate development company, which focuses on multifamily and mixed-use development in the Northeast. She holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
